So today I decided to try out the above named Mary Berry cake as a treat for Karl.
It was fairly straight-forward and uses oil instead of butter, which isn’t something I’ve done before. It was meant to be over two sandwich tins but I didn’t have the right size so I did it over three smaller ones. The result is a tower of chocolate goodness!! 🙂
The nice light sponge worked well with the richness of the chocolate icing. My attempt at the chocolate ‘Waves’ on top of the cake lasted moments before they collapsed but hey! They still taste the same!
